“Well, we have done it! Beddington is officially Canada’s tenth Butterflyway and Alberta’s first! I have to say that this project, the people involved, and the community as a whole, have absolutely blown all expectations out of the water. Each and every one of us should be darn proud to live in Beddington and to continue making it literally a leading community in all of Alberta!” [David Mulders, Apiarist and Butterflyway Ranger]
Those of us who got involved, in big ways or small, are treated to David’s entertaining and informative updates on “all things pollinator,” including gardening tips! You want to be on his mailing list, whether or not you can join our committee! Let’s all continue to make Beddington a “Pollinator Paradise!” REACH OUT TO DAVID
Mavis Chong is really getting this ball rolling fast! We are seeking a site in conjunction with City Parks. When a location is approved, the committee will be creating a garden design, securing funding/donations/partners and so much more. Come spring we will need people to roll up their sleeves to prepare our beds, and — of course — start gardening! In our engagements over the last many years, a community garden was one of the top requests. Now’s your chance! REACH OUT TO MAVIS
Vivo’s Play Hub is coming to Beacham Close Park, this November.
